assistant sophomore coach: Krista marler
My name is Krissy Marler / "Coach Krissy".
I was born July 23, 1982 in Taylorsville, Utah to unconditionally loving and supportive parents. I have three older brothers, which instilled in me a fierce love of sports from a very young age as I strived to keep up with them. I attended Cottonwood high school, where I was the starting Point Guard and Captain of the Varsity Girls Basketball team from 1998-2000. I have been coaching with the hero of my youth, Olympic Gold-Medalist, Natalie Williams, since she started her own competition basketball program in 2016. I have learned so much from her and it has been a dream come true to coach my daughters alongside my Hall of Fame hero!
I have 4 children (future Grizzlies!) with my wonderful husband of almost 18 years, Maxwell. My daughter Evie, is a 7th grader at Sunset Ridge Middle school; Dixie is in 5th grade at Fox Hollow Elementary; Ripken is in the 1st grade French Immersion program, also at Fox Hollow; and my little caboose, Esther, is close by wherever her momma goes:) They are my entire world!
I love to watch and attempt to play pretty much every sport; I love to play the guitar and the piano; I'm very involved in my church, my neighborhood, and my West Jordan community. Basketball is one of the great passions in my life and I'm soo excited to continue to learn and grow each day as part of this amazing coaching staff for the CHHS Grizzlies‘ family!️
